The Truth/الْحَق/ Al-Haq, as an attribute

Al-Haq/الْحَق/ is the Arabic noun and the most explicit, one- word definition of justice and truth. Because of the heavy and well-defined implications of this word, it is innumerably used by God in Quran along with many of its grammatical derivatives to deliver teachings, commands, systems, and facts in the most efficient, clear-cut, assertive, and absolute format.

Depending on context and grammar, the word الْحَق/Al-Haq/the Truth and many of its derivatives are used by God to mean words like " truthfully, "fully", "the real", "establish", " incumbent", or "rightfully". However in other occurrences, the word الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth is given by God as an attribute.

The following occurrences are different from the verses where the word الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth and the many other derivatives are used to mean "truthfully", "fully", "rightfully", "the real" , "establish, "incumbent". [24:25] On that day, God will requite them fully for their works, and they will find out that God is the Truth.

[6:73] He is the One who created the heavens and the earth, truthfully. Whenever He says, "Be," it is. His word is the absolute truth. All sovereignty belongs to Him the day the horn is blown. Knower of all secrets and declarations, He is the Most Wise, the Cognizant.

Quran is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[47:2] Those who believe and work righteousness, and believe in what was sent down to Muhammad - which is the truth from their Lord - He remits their sins, and blesses them with contentment.

[13:1] A. L. M. R. These (letters) are proofs of this scripture. What is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe.

[2:147] This is the truth from your Lord; do not harbor any doubt.

[35:31] What we revealed to you in this scripture is the truth, consummating all previous scriptures. God is fully Cognizant of His servants, Seer.

[34:6] It is evident to those who are blessed with knowledge that this revelation from your Lord to you is the truth, and that it guides to the path of the Almighty, the Most Praiseworthy.

The Day of Judgment is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[78:39] Such is the inevitable day. Whoever wills let him take refuge in his Lord.

Our requital is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[24:25] On that day, God will requite them fully for their works, and they will find out that God is the Truth.

The scale of Justice is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[7:8] The scales will be set on that day, equitably. Those whose weights are heavy will be the winners.

God's record is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[23:62] We never burden any soul beyond its means, and we keep a record that utters the truth. No one will suffer injustice.

[45:29] This is our record; it utters the truth about you. We have been recording everything you did.

The Mutual Blaming or the Feud on the Day of Judgment is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[38:64] This is a predetermined fact: the people of Hell will feud with one another.

God's Promise is الْحَق/ Al-Haq/the Truth:

[35:5] O people, God's promise is the truth; therefore, do not be distracted by this lowly life. Do not be diverted from God by mere illusions.

[45:32] When it is proclaimed that God's promise is the truth and that the Hour (of Judgment) is inevitable, you said, "We do not know what the Hour is! We are full of conjecture about it; we are not certain."

Perhaps we would seriously obey God's commands when we fully sense and weigh that He is the Absolute Truth. Perhaps we would rightfully and sincerely implement His teachings when reminded that His words are the Absolute Truth and that our accountability when we meet Him on the promised Day of Judgment is also the Absolute Truth.

Do we fully comprehend that God is in the Absolute Truth when we say about Him what we do not know or attribute to Him lies, prohibitions, or practices that He has never issued?

[7:33] Say, "My Lord prohibits only evil deeds, be they obvious or hidden, and sins, and unjustifiable aggression, and to set up beside God powerless idols, and to say about God what you do not know."

[7:105] "It is incumbent upon me that I do not say about God except the truth. I come to you with a sign from your Lord; let the Children of Israel go."

[16:116] You shall not utter lies with your own tongues stating: "This is lawful, and this is unlawful," to fabricate lies and attribute them to God. Surely, those who fabricate lies and attribute them to God will never succeed.

Do we truly grasp that God is the Absolute Truth when we recognize His irrefutable systems and proofs within us and all around us? Do we owe it to Him alone? Do we reverence Him, fear Him alone, and value Him the way He should be valued?

[41:53] We will show them our proofs in the horizons, and within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth.* Is your Lord not sufficient as a witness of all things?

[22:74] They do not value God as He should be valued. God is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.

Do we fully understand that Quran is the Absolute Truth? Do we truly uphold that Absolute Truth both literally and seriously as the only valid and divine source of guidance?

[10:82] God establishes the truth with His words, despite the criminals.

[18:27] You shall recite what is revealed to you of your Lord's scripture. Nothing shall abrogate His words, and you shall not find any other source beside it.

Do we fully understand it when God says that His words establish the Absolute Truth when we conceal some, misunderstand and abuse others by mixing them with man's words, or when we selectively apply few and ignore plenty, or when we stretch them beyond what they mean to satisfy our idols?

[3:71] O followers of the scripture, why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and conceal the truth, knowingly?

[3:78] Among them are those who twist their tongues to imitate the scripture, that you may think it is from the scripture, when it is not from the scripture, and they claim that it is from God, when it is not from God. Thus, they utter lies and attribute them to God, knowingly.

[3:23] Have you noted those who were given part of the scripture, and how they are invited to uphold this scripture of God, and apply it to their own lives, then some of them turn away in aversion?

[4:44] Have you noted those who received a portion of the scripture, and how they choose to stray, and wish that you stray from the path?

[4:51] Have you noted those who received a portion of the scripture, and how they believe in idolatry and false doctrine, then say, "The disbelievers are better guided than the believers?!"

[15:90] We will deal with the dividers.
[15:91] They accept the Quran only partially.
[15:92] By your Lord, we will question them all,
[15:93] about everything they have done.

When we invite to God's path, do we use the Absolute truth or man-made concepts and doctrines that we personally admire?

[7:181] Among our creations, there are those who guide with the truth, and the truth renders them righteous.

[40:75] This is because you used to rejoice in false doctrines on earth, and you used to promote them.

When we try to judge matters to choose and make decisions or when we try to resolve disputes, do we resort to the Absolute Truth, Quran, or to Quran plus.., plus... plus...?

[24:48] When they are invited to God and His messenger to judge among them, some of them get upset.

[4:105] We have sent down to you the scripture, truthfully, in order to judge among the people in accordance with what God has shown you. You shall not side with the betrayers.

To wrap it up, do we fully appreciate the infallible logic in these two verses?

[10:32] Such is God, your rightful Lord. What is there after the truth, except falsehood? How could you disregard all this?

[10;36] Most of them follow nothing but conjecture, and conjecture is no substitute for the truth. God is fully aware of everything they do.

[3;8] "Our Lord, let not our hearts waver, now that You have guided us. Shower us with Your mercy; You are the Grantor.
[3;9] "Our Lord, You will surely gather the people on a day that is inevitable. God never breaks a promise."

Peaceful Friday, salaam, and God bless.
