In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Justice for Peace to All
Among God's set laws in His authorized religion are the crucial ones that establish peace and justice for all people. Without those laws, chaos and corruption would spread on earth. All divine scriptures advocate righteousness, justice and respect of others lives and rights. In Quran, God emphasizes how justice is the key to achieve peace (49:9-10). The Most Wise decreed for His servants clear laws regarding relations with people of the previous scriptures to provide security, respect and protection for all believers. In general, dealing with all people righteously and justly could be an open invitation to the truth.
[42:40] Although the just requital for an injustice is an equivalent retribution, those who pardon and maintain righteousness are rewarded by GOD. He does not love the unjust.
[5:87] O you who believe, do not prohibit good things that are made lawful by GOD, and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors.
[49:9] If two groups of believers fought with each other, you shall reconcile them. If one group aggresses against the other, you shall fight the aggressing group until they submit to GOD's command. Once they submit, you shall reconcile the two groups equitably. You shall maintain justice; GOD loves those who are just.
[49:10] The believers are members of one family; you shall keep the peace within your family and reverence GOD, that you may attain mercy.
God does not advocate fighting those who ridicule the believers, take the religion in vain, talk nonsense or those who disbelieve in His revelations. All that believers are commanded to do is to avoid them, not befriend them, ignore them and respond to their ignorance by pardoning and uttering peace. Believers are expected to treat everyone kindly and to be honest and fair towards all people. They are also commanded to apply equal punishment when dealing with others of any religion. When there is need to debate, believers should debate in the best manner.
[4:140] He has instructed you in the scripture that: if you hear GOD's revelations being mocked and ridiculed, you shall not sit with them, unless they delve into another subject. Otherwise, you will be as guilty as they are. GOD will gather the hypocrites and the disbelievers together in Hell.
[5:8] O you who believe, you shall be absolutely equitable, and observe GOD, when you serve as witnesses. Do not be provoked by your conflicts with some people into committing injustice. You shall be absolutely equitable, for it is more righteous. You shall observe GOD. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.
[16:125] You shall invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and kind enlightenment, and debate with them in the best possible manner. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who are the guided ones.
[16:126] And if you punish, you shall inflict an equivalent punishment. But if you resort to patience (instead of revenge), it would be better for the patient ones.
[25:63] The worshipers of the Most Gracious are those who tread the earth gently, and when the ignorant speak to them, they only utter peace.
[7:199] You shall resort to pardon, advocate tolerance, and disregard the ignorant.
Sparing lives or refraining from killing applies to any life regardless of religion. Keeping promises or being trustworthy is also towards all people. Dealing with others in a righteous manner is not restricted to the people who share our belief. Regarding the poor, the orphan or the neighbor is not restricted to a specific creed. Reacting in self defense to those who initiate fighting is allowed. However in those cases, believers must react justly without aggression and must stop the fight if the opposing parties resort to peace.
[17:33] You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice. Thus, he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder; he will be helped.
[2:190] You may fight in the cause of GOD against those who attack you, but do not aggress. GOD does not love the aggressors.
[2:192] If they refrain, then GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
[2:193] You may also fight them to eliminate oppression, and to worship GOD freely. If they refrain, you shall not aggress; aggression is permitted only against the aggressors.
[3:75] Some followers of the scripture can be trusted with a whole lot, and they will give it back to you. Others among them cannot be trusted with a single dinar; they will not repay you unless you keep after them. That is because they say, "We do not have to be honest when dealing with the gentiles!" Thus, they attribute lies to GOD, knowingly.
[3:76] Indeed, those who fulfill their obligations and lead a righteous life, GOD loves the righteous.
[4:36] You shall worship GOD alone - do not associate anything with Him. You shall regard the parents, the relatives, the orphans, the poor, the related neighbor, the unrelated neighbor, the close associate, the traveling alien, and your servants. GOD does not like the arrogant show-offs.
[60:8] GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable.
[60:9] GOD enjoins you only from befriending those who fight you because of religion, evict you from your homes, and band together with others to banish you. You shall not befriend them. Those who befriend them are the transgressors.
God blessed us with the knowledge that His name is commemorated at synagogues, churches and monasteries. This mandates respecting and securing these places of worship. He also kept us enlightened about some of the people of the scripture who stay up at night prostrating and reciting His words which makes them equally worthy of the highest consideration.
[22:40] They were evicted from their homes unjustly, for no reason other than saying, "Our Lord is GOD." If it were not for GOD's supporting of some people against others, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and masjids - where the name of GOD is commemorated frequently - would have been destroyed. Absolutely, GOD supports those who support Him. GOD is Powerful, Almighty.
[3:113] They are not all the same; among the followers of the scripture, there are those who are righteous. They recite GOD's revelations through the night, and they fall prostrate.
Believers should set a righteous example and be honorable representatives as God's servants in behavior, interaction, working or trading. With their hearts full of reverence to God alone, they have no room for animosity or hatred. Their main priority is obeying God's commands and living by His standards. Therefore, they cannot strive for any cause but for the cause of God, in full compliance with His set laws to establish justice for peace to all.
Peaceful Friday, salaam, and God bless.
