In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Enemies of God
Who are they? How do we treat them?
[43:62] Let not the devil repel you; he is your most ardent enemy.
Satan has been promoting "do not judge- God is the only judge". As usual, he mixes some truth with his own falsehood to make his lies tastier, and more chewable for his targets. God is the only Ultimate/Supreme Judge. This is true. He is fully aware of all innermost thoughts, and He is the only One who knows the entire path of each individual and the status each one of us will die in. Therefore, without a doubt, He is the Ultimate and Supreme Judge. The "do not judge" part is made up by Mr. S and all his constituents. Not only does this seemingly sweet and righteous statement have NO Quranic basis but it also contradicts the system set by God equally for all humans to freely judge and choose. Why does Mr. S insist on promoting partially true banners? Because this scheme of "mix & match", using parts of the truth mixed with falsehood, seems to have an appealing tone. It allows him to achieve a very promising goal: confounding truth with falsehood to mess up with God's teachings. In this particular case - the "do not judge" case - this technique inhibits the free will of his targets, and turns them into apathetic robots that do not discriminate! The end result would be disregarding many of God's teachings and guidelines and the partial obedience of His laws..
Judging, choosing, and freedom are inseparable powers that are divinely granted to all humans. We are born FREE to choose. We wanted to reevaluate our direction and choose between God and Satan (33:72). God has established us on earth to judge, using our brains, eyesight, and hearing, in order to freely make choices.. Every single step of our path on earth involves judgment in order to exercise our freedom to choose, while Mr. S tries to convince certain targets otherwise. He has promised and challenged to mislead many targets so they hardly find God's path (7:16). His ultimate goal is to interrupt the process of purification and liberation of their souls.
The Devil is the Other Alternative [36:60] Did I not covenant with you, O Children of Adam, that you shall not worship the devil? That he is your most ardent enemy?
[2:148] Each of you chooses the direction to follow; you shall race towards righteousness. Wherever you may be, GOD will summon you all. GOD is Omnipotent.
[18:29] Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord," then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve. .....
[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.
This reminder is about just one application of that Satanic banner - do not judge, God is the only judge. It is about confusing some targets so they DO NOT judge ENEMIES OF GOD to act appropriately using necessary measures. Once confused, they make wrong choices in regard of them, or think they are pleasing God by sticking around them. In fact, they strive to stay, rather than part company with them. Deceived by Mr.S's "do not judge" banner, they believe this is the Quranic way to handle them!! The consequences are all detailed in the Quran: creating divisions, and introducing conjecture in hope to dilute and eventually replace the truth. Gradually, baseless information and unquranic banners start to be preached in God's places of worship and 9:107 becomes a reality while some are not paying attention, and others are confused enough to validate blasphemies against God. Great job Mr. S! This has been happening for years in our communities in front of the eyes of those who can see. As for the blind ones, may God have mercy on them and may He restore their vision one day so they could see once more.
Who are the enemies of God? Are they recognizable? Has God detailed for us enough examples and lengthy history to alert us and help us identify them, or has this been only for entertaining purposes?? Has God issued for us specific stands to make when we encounter them? If so, should we then examine questionable actions, and confessions?Should we judge them according to God's perfect scales of judgment in order for us to follow His commands and take necessary measures in appropriate circumstances? How would it be possible to be commanded to never ally ourselves with God's enemies, be stern with them, disregard them, or disown them at certain point without granted the ability and the concession to judge them? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
Who are the enemies of God? Are they recognizable? Has God detailed for us enough examples and lengthy history to alert us and help us identify them, or has this been only for entertaining purposes??
[41:19] The day will come when the enemies of GOD will be summoned to the hellfire, forcibly.
God states that on the Day of Judgment, His enemies will be the fuel of Hell. Who incurs such condemnation? According to Quran, they are the liars who do not fear God, stand for His Truth, or adopt His straight path (7:44, 11:18). Because of that, they are exiled from His mercy. Disbelief in God and in meeting Him is the common dominator of their behavior. Idol worship and hypocrisy are common forms of disbelief. Idol worshipers and hypocrites are labeled by God as the worst creatures and the real enemies.
Enemies of God are always enemies of His truth. Conversely, all believers, including God's angels, abhor what God abhors, disown who He disowns, and love what He loves. They utter what conforms with His utterances, and follow His systems with no hesitance or a trace of hypocrisy. A disease is certainly in the hearts of those who extend their compassion, and friendship to those who confess their disbelief and aggressively fight the truth and the believers. In extending compassion towards them, or labeling them as "brethren in faith", they only go against the divine systems of the Most Gracious, fooling some under the banners of kindness, best possible manners, unity etc.... They transgress the scales of justice set by God in His Quran. Ego makes them believe that they can be wiser and kinder than God! Ego pushes them to negotiate God's systems without basis:
[33:70] O you who believe, reverence GOD and utter only the correct utterances.
[47:7] O you who believe, if you support GOD, He will support you, and strengthen your foothold.
[58:22] You will not find people who believe in GOD and the Last Day befriending those who oppose GOD and His messenger, even if they were their parents, or their children, or their siblings, or their tribe. For these, He decrees faith into their hearts, and supports them with inspiration from Him, and admits them into gardens with flowing streams wherein they abide forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. These are the party of GOD. Most assuredly, GOD's party are the winners.
[8:55] The worst creatures in the sight of GOD are those who disbelieved; they cannot believe.
[48:6] And He will requite the hypocrite men and women and the idol worshiping men and women, for they have harbored evil thoughts about GOD. Their evil will backfire against them. For GOD is angry with them, condemns them, and has prepared for them Gehenna. What a miserable destiny!
[63:1] When the hypocrites come to you they say, "We bear witness that you are the messenger of GOD." GOD knows that you are His messenger, and GOD bears witness that the hypocrites are liars.
[63:2] Under the guise of their apparent faith, they repel the people from the path of GOD. Miserable indeed is what they do.
[63:3] This is because they believed, then disbelieved. Hence, their minds are blocked; they do not understand.
[63:4] When you see them, you may be impressed by their looks. And when they speak, you may listen to their eloquence. They are like standing logs. They think that every call is intended against them. These are the real enemies; beware of them. GOD condemns them; they have deviated.
[98:6] Those who disbelieved among the people of the scripture, and the idol worshipers, have incurred the fire of Gehenna forever. They are the worst creatures.
[35:39] He is the One who made you inheritors of the earth. Subsequently, whoever chooses to disbelieve does so to his own detriment. The disbelief of the disbelievers only augments their Lord's abhorrence towards them. The disbelief of the disbelievers plunges them deeper into loss.
[40:10] Those who disbelieve will be told, "GOD's abhorrence towards you is even worse than your own abhorrence towards yourselves. For you were invited to believe, but you chose to disbelieve."
Characteristics of disbelievers, idol worshipers or hypocrites, are fully detailed in Quran by the Most Gracious to expose them only to be able to judge them accordingly, and make the right decisions in the right circumstances.. Every example, piece of history, word, and letter are perfectly measured in Quran for our salvation. This is what God teaches the believers. On the other hand, Mr. S. is picking and choosing for his targets and limiting the judging process to certain situations while hiding behind his back tons of divine knowledge. Details of these characteristics are discussed in the following web pages:
- Supreme Definitions - Idol Worshipers
- Supreme Definitions - Hypocrites
- Supreme Definitions - Disbelievers
Has God detailed for us specific conducts/stands when we encounter them? If so, should we then examine questionable actions, and confessions? Should we judge them according to God's perfect scales of judgment in order to follow His commands and take necessary measures when applicable?
God informs us in chapter 60 that those who are not fighting God's truth or oppressing the believers in any way could be regarded as friends:
[60:8] GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable.
Those who are aggressively fighting the believers, and God's truth are prohibited as friends or brethren in faith. Per 58:22, those who God has decreed true faith in their hearts cannot do that ; they cannot go against God's utterances, or systems.
[60:9] GOD enjoins you only from befriending those who fight you because of religion, evict you from your homes, and band together with others to banish you. You shall not befriend them. Those who befriend them are the transgressors.
It is crucial to be knowledgeable about the difference between befriending and allying as used by God in His perfect Arabic Quran. While befriending (wed in Arabic text) is a casual relation of extending niceness or kindness towards others, allying (welayah in Arabic text) means a relationship that is deep enough to being heavily influenced by and loyal to certain parties. Believers of one community are allies to one another (9:71), and members of one family (49:9-10). The first relation (befriending) is prohibited for the believers towards those who fight God and His truth, but permissible towards those who maintain a peaceful relationship with the believers and never exhibit any form of oppression (60:8-9). The latter (allying) is prohibited for the believers at all times, without exception, towards enemies of God, His messenger, or the believers (3:28, 58:22). So, both befriending and allying with enemies of God who are active fighters of His truth or the believers are prohibited for believers.
When we are spreading God's message, we invite to His path with kind enlightenment and wisdom, and we must debate in the best possible manner (16:125). We may disregard the ignorant in a nice and peaceful manner (25:63). This is a situation that is different from dealing with those who mingle in our communities and mosques as "allies" repelling from the path of God under the banner of Submission. They spread their blasphemies by abusing God's mosques (9:107). They label themselves as "submitters", demand to be regarded as "brethren in faith", "community members", " bodies or allies" , and claim they only seek God alone, while their confessions are nothing but polluted idol worship and wicked hypocrisy. Inside God's mosques, or during community functions, they aggressively fight the ultimate truth, attribute lies to God, violate the rights of believers, and mock them when they uphold the truth. They persist in doing all of that with no regret or repentance. Is what Mr. S proposes logical?! Can't we judge these? Are these the candidates for kindness and best possible manners (16:125)? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?! Are these the ones we stick around, force ourselves to be with, never turn our eyes away from, and unite with in a community, or a mosque like bricks in one wall? Are these the true believers, the true family, and the real allies?
NO. These are the ones who God sufficiently warned us against, but only the seer can heed the guidance. As for the blind ones, may God have mercy on them and may He restore their vision one day so they could see once more.
Here are the warnings and the stands we must take against these enemies of God as detailed by the Most Gracious. Such commands cannot be followed without judging!Believers wouldn't underestimate the word of God. They take it seriously and literally. Never ally with, do not lean towards, disown, disregard, be stern with, and part company with - are words that God has chosen to use in dealing with His enemies when they are aggressive towards His truth and His servants. The following are direct commands from God in regard of them. Please read and reflect:
God disowns the idol worshipers, but we cannot judge them to part company with them! Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
[9:3] A proclamation is herein issued from GOD and His messenger to all the people on the great day of pilgrimage, that GOD has disowned the idol worshipers, and so did His messenger. Thus, if you repent, it would be better for you. But if you turn away, then know that you can never escape from GOD. Promise those who disbelieve a painful retribution.
God distinguishes among us based on our alliance with the right company and He directly asks us not to ally with His enemies. How do we choose who we ally with without judging? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
[9:16] Did you think that you will be left alone without GOD distinguishing those among you who strive, and never ally themselves with GOD's enemies, or the enemies of His messenger, or the enemies of the believers? GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.
[3:28] The believers never ally themselves with the disbelievers, instead of the believers. Whoever does this is exiled from GOD. Exempted are those who are forced to do this to avoid persecution. GOD alerts you that you shall reverence Him alone. To GOD is the ultimate destiny.
Idol worshipers cannot frequent God's mosques as allies to peach and share their pollution! Shouldn't we judge them to stop them from spreading their blasphemies? Where is the logic in what Mr. S suggests?!
[9:17] The idol worshipers are not to frequent the masjids of GOD, while confessing their disbelief. These have nullified their works, and they will abide forever in Hell.
We are commanded to be stern with them ; be firm, and consistently fight & reject their falsehood whenever we encounter them. God will love those who do so. Shouldn't we judge them to be stern with them and earn God's love? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
You Shall Be Stern With the Disbelievers
[9:73] O you prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern in dealing with them. Their destiny is Hell; what a miserable abode!
[9:74] They swear by GOD that they never said it, although they have uttered the word of disbelief; they have disbelieved after becoming submitters. In fact, they gave up what they never had. They have rebelled even though GOD and His messenger have showered them with His grace and provisions. If they repent, it would be best for them. But if they turn away, GOD will commit them to painful retribution in this life and in the Hereafter. They will find no one on earth to be their lord and master.
[5:54] O you who believe, if you revert from your religion, then GOD will substitute in your place people whom He loves and who love Him. They will be kind with the believers, stern with the disbelievers, and will strive in the cause of GOD without fear of any blame. Such is GOD's blessing; He bestows it upon whomever He wills. GOD is Bounteous, Omniscient.
Abraham disowned his idol worshiping father and his whole tribe when they were aggressive towards Him and the believers. What is the meaning of disowning? Where is the logic in what Mr. S suggests?!
[9:114] The only reason Abraham asked forgiveness for his father was that he had promised him to do so. But as soon as he realized that he was an enemy of GOD, he disowned him. Abraham was extremely kind, clement.
Abraham: An Example
[60:4] A good example has been set for you by Abraham and those with him. They said to their people, "We disown you and the idols that you worship besides GOD. We denounce you, and you will see nothing from us except animosity and hatred until you believe in GOD ALONE." However, a mistake was commited by Abraham when he said to his father, "I will pray for your forgiveness, but I possess no power to protect you from GOD." "Our Lord, we trust in You, and submit to You; to You is the final destiny.
[60:5] "Our Lord, let us not be oppressed by those who disbelieved, and forgive us. You are the Almighty, Most Wise."
[60:6] A good example has been set by them for those who seek GOD and the Last Day. As for those who turn away, GOD is in no need (of them), Most Praiseworthy.
Noah hated the company of God's enemies and prayed for their annihilation. God taught him that his disbelieving son is His enemy, and thus is no longer part of his family or the family of believers. Only believers are part of one family, and only this kind of family deserves peace (49:9-11). Only the ignorant ones would consider disbelievers as part of their families (11:46)! And how would we choose our family members without judging? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
[71:26] Noah also said, "My Lord, do not leave a single disbeliever on earth.
[71:27] "For if you let them, they will only mislead your servants and give birth to nothing but wicked disbelievers.
[71:28] "My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and anyone who enters my home as a believer, and all the believing men and women. But do not give the disbelievers anything but annihilation."
[11:45] Noah implored his Lord: "My Lord, my son is a member of my family, and Your promise is the truth. You are the wisest of the wise."
[11:46] He said, "O Noah, he is not of your family. It is unrighteous to ask Me for something you do not know.* I enlighten you, lest you be like the ignorant."
Aaron committed a sin when he compromised the truth and was afraid of idol worshipers during his brother's absence. Moses prayed for his forgiveness and asked God to help him "part company" with the wicked people. Did he judge them then? Where is the logic in what Mr. S suggests?!
[7:150] When Moses returned to his people, angry and disappointed, he said, "What a terrible thing you have done in my absence! Could you not wait for the commandments of your Lord?" He threw down the tablets, and took hold of his brother's head, pulling him towards himself. (Aaron) said, "Son of my mother, the people took advantage of my weakness, and almost killed me. Let not my enemies rejoice, and do not count me with the transgressing people."
[7:151] (Moses) said, "My Lord, forgive me and my brother, and admit us into Your mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."
[7:152] Surely, those who idolized the calf have incurred wrath from their Lord, and humiliation in this life. We thus requite the innovators.
Despite All the Miracles They Saw
[5:24] They said, "O Moses, we will never enter it, so long as they are in it. Therefore, go - you and your Lord - and fight. We are sitting right here."
[5:25] He said, "My Lord, I can only control myself and my brother. So, allow us to part company with the wicked people."
More guidance for the seer:
[3:86] Why should GOD guide people who disbelieved after believing, and after witnessing that the messenger is truth, and after solid proofs* have been given to them? GOD does not guide the wicked.
[3:87] These have incurred condemnation by GOD, and the angels, and all the people.
[3:88] Eternally they abide therein; the retribution is never commuted for them, nor will they be reprieved.
[3:89] Exempted are those who repent thereafter, and reform. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
Do Not Befriend Hypocrites
[3:118] O you who believe, do not befriend outsiders who never cease to wish you harm; they even wish to see you suffer. Hatred flows out of their mouths and what they hide in their chests is far worse. We thus clarify the revelations for you, if you understand.
[3:119] Here you are loving them, while they do not love you, and you believe in all the scripture. When they meet you they say, "We believe," but as soon as they leave, they bite their fingers out of rage towards you. Say, "Die in your rage." GOD is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.
[3:120] When anything good comes your way they hurt, and when something bad happens to you they rejoice. If you steadfastly persevere, and maintain righteousness, their schemes will never hurt you. GOD is fully aware of everything they do.
Mr. S inspires his targets to ally with God's enemies and lean towards them, driving a wedge between God's allies. Shouldn't we judge God's enemies so we do not allow them to divide us? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
How to Deal With the Hypocrites
[4:88] Why should you divide yourselves into two groups regarding hypocrites (among you)? GOD is the one who condemned them because of their own behavior. Do you want to guide those who are sent astray by GOD? Whomever GOD sends astray, you can never find a way to guide them.
[4:89] They wish that you disbelieve as they have disbelieved, then you become equal. Do not consider them friends, unless they mobilize along with you in the cause of GOD. If they turn against you, you shall fight them, and you may kill them when you encounter them in war. You shall not accept them as friends, or allies.*
[11:112] Therefore, continue on the path you have been enjoined to follow, together with those who repented with you, and do not transgress. He is Seer of everything you do.
[11:113] Do not lean towards those who have transgressed, lest you incur Hell, and find no allies to help you against GOD, then end up losers.
Moreover, he inspires his targets to defend them, while God is preaching the opposite! How do we obey this command without judging? Where is the logic in what Mr. S suggests?! :
Do Not Defend the Transgressors
[4:107] Do not argue on behalf of those who have wronged their own souls; GOD does not love any betrayer, guilty.
[4:108] They hide from the people, and do not care to hide from GOD, though He is with them as they harbor ideas He dislikes. GOD is fully aware of everything they do.
You Do Not Help Them by Being "Nice"
[4:109] Here you are arguing on their behalf in this world; who is going to argue with GOD on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection? Who is going to be their advocate?
We are not to stand on the disbelievers' graves or pray for their forgiveness. How would we decide on that without judging? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
[9:113] Neither the prophet, nor those who believe shall ask forgiveness for the idol worshipers, even if they were their nearest of kin, once they realize that they are destined for Hell.
[9:84] You shall not observe the funeral prayer for any of them when he dies, nor shall you stand at his grave. They have disbelieved in GOD and His messenger, and died in a state of wickedness.
We are not to marry from idol worshipers- God's enemies, and His worst creatures. Should we judge our future spouses or not? Where is the logic in what Mr. S suggests?! :
[2:221] Do not marry idolatresses unless they believe; a believing woman is better than an idolatress, even if you like her. Nor shall you give your daughters in marriage to idolatrous men, unless they believe. A believing man is better than an idolater, even if you like him. These invite to Hell, while GOD invites to Paradise and forgiveness, as He wills. He clarifies His revelations for the people, that they may take heed.
How do we disregard the idol worshipers and their blasphemies if we do not judge them? Is what Mr. S proposes logical?!
[6:106] Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord, there is no god except He, and disregard the idol worshipers.
Hadith & Sunna:
Fabrications by the Prophet's Enemies
[6:112] We have permitted the enemies of every prophet - human and jinn devils - to inspire in each other fancy words, in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications.
Important Criterion
[6:113] This is to let the minds of those who do not believe in the Hereafter listen to such fabrications, and accept them, and thus expose their real convictions.*
[109:1] Say, "O you disbelievers.
[109:2] "I do not worship what you worship.
[109:3] "Nor do you worship what I worship.
[109:4] "Nor will I ever worship what you worship.
[109:5] "Nor will you ever worship what I worship.
[109:6] "To you is your religion, and to me is my religion."
His nonsense is visible to the seer. His goal of partially obeying Quran is not going to be accomplished through God's allies. He may confuse the divine teachings for some, and persuade others to abuse or misapply some verses in certain situations while ignoring the appropriate ones, but all bad schemes will backfire. This is the promise of the Best Schemer. Only the seer would take heed. As for the blind ones, may God have mercy on them and may He restore their vision one day so they could see once again.
[43:62] Let not the devil repel you; he is your most ardent enemy.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
